Event designer Simply By Tamara Nicole told us all about this magnolia-themed blush baby shower,
The inspiration for Elle’s baby shower came from her soon-to-be daughter, Magnolia! We used the colors of magnolia leaves and flowers to inspire the decor. Adding fun modern twists as well as plenty of boho vibes to create the perfect tiny shower. We also asked guests to wear white to coordinate with the decor and it was so neat and fun for everyone to participate.
When guests arrived, they were greeted by a side of a custom wall created by On the Wall Design Studio. There were shelves with bubbly- (cute half circle tags made by Fancy Cat Studios) with each guest’s name on it. He topped it with 3 juices and fruits of his choice. Then on the other side of the wall, we rolled it on wheels. , , And they were able to choose a custom hair piece for the shower. We made hair clips, and made head bands with some fresh flowers along with dried flowers and greenery. It was so much fun seeing everyone coordinate!
The invitations set the tone with style and color — simple, modern, with a slightly moody edge — created by Design Lux Creative. The rest of the signage and day of paper goods were designed by Fancy Cat Studio. We had a lot of fun adding florals to a fun sign made by Crystal. He also printed the little games we played and the menus, labels, etc. We always love some cool signs at our events!
For brunch, the vision was a grazed table, and Blue Ribbon Cooking School nailed it. a display of amazing foods; Belgian waffles with fresh local berries, French chocolate roulade crepes, Swedish pancake puffs with maple cream dipping sauce, handmade croissants, holiday inspired bite-size scones with fig preserves, European cheeses and cured meats, raw local honey and Winter fruits, vanilla- chipotle spiced pecans. It was delicious! Then dessert was a delicious Earl Gray cake by Honey Crumb Cake Studio. Custom adorable cookies to take home, with gift boxes (including a peony candle, sweet tea in a test tube, and a fun hair tie) by Katie the Cookie Bee—adorned with dried flowers and silk ribbon.
Guests sat on poufs, pillows, etc. from Wander Event Rentals. Dishes of balancing balloons sat at each guest table—and we had “poufs” of small flower arrangements under the tables with candles. On top of the long table was a setting of balloon arches and flowers on a white grid as a backdrop. On the other side was a lounge area.
We all had so much fun, and can’t wait to meet Magnolia!
